Defect : exhaust fan did not function

- exaust fan is use to absorb hot air in the room to out.

- it cannot function because it did not connect to supply

- no calbe connected to it. supposely, there are cable connect for supply

Location : Generator Transformer 1B

Function GTx : to step-up voltage from 15kV to 275kV

OLTC (on load tap changer) : to change transformer output voltage

Breakdown Voltage (BDV) test

- to check either the oil is good insulator or not.

- in the transformer, oil is use as a insulator.

- test : inject 60kV to the oil

- the oil already put inside the machine

- it has a specific machine for this test

- the test is repeated 5 to 6 times. to get the accurate result.

- gap 2.5mm

Work : Servicing 415V breaker bus-tie
- 425V UAB1A BRD bus-tie
-check continuity = open 99.9 ohms, close = 0.08, 0.07, 0.08, 0.08 ohms
-ohm balance (phase to phase) = cannot short
- servicing 415V UAB1A BRD incoming = 0.22, 0.22, 0.32, 0.32 ohms

Procedure to service breaker bus-tie and incoming.
1. off ATS

3. rack-out breaker
4. service breaker
5. rack-in breaker
6. reset alarm
7. select remote mode
8. on ATS
9. close bus-tie breaker
10. then incoming breaker will automatically open
11. select local breaker incoming
12. rack-out breaker
13. service breaker
14. rack-in breaker
15. reset alarm
16. select remote
17. close breaker incoming
18. the automatic the bus-tie breaker will open

Location : HRSG 1A

Work : Control valve ( motorize valve ) cannot open 100%

- use WD 40 to smooth the valve function

- when the valve is close ( zero) it will send red light, if open (100%) send green light (signal).

- use variable resistor to adjust the valve (open/close)

- valve 'berkarat", therefore spray with WD 40

- normally, motorize valve is for isolating

Work : Service and clean-up air conditioner

- the air conditioner in the GT Package use 3-phase system. Normally, for house it only use 1-phse.

-clean the air-cond fan (filter)

- if the filter is dirty, it will automatically off (stop)

- the compressor will function after 3 minutes the switch on.

- if in the GT Package already cold, the air cond fan will automatically stop (off)

- supposely, both motors function for the air cond but only one motor can function. The other one have problem.

- the problem is the connection is wrong and therefore have to change the connection

Work : Clean up the transformer

Generator transformer - to step-up the generator voltage of 15kV to the system voltage of 275kV

Station transformer - to step-down the system voltage of 275kV to the station board voltage of 6.6kV

defect : motor viper extraction cannot stop

location : black start diesel generator (BSDG)

- check battery : 24V DC battery for start up

- use hydrometer to check water level = 1.28

- use multimeter to check the voltage = 12.30V

- the battery have to check because it will be use as back up when do the blackout test this Sunday (9 May)
- battery: back up for NGR (neutral ground resistor)
- EDG (emergency diesel generator) : to energize station essential board and provide emergency AC supply in case of normal AC power supply failure.

6.6kV --> EDG --> step down 415V --> auxilary Tx

1) servicing GMCB (general main circuit breaker)

- GMCB is use to connect or isolate generator transformer from the grid.

- there are 3 unites of GMCB, one for each of the two GT's and ST's.
- GMCB uses a hydraulic spring mechanism in order to make or break the circuit.

2) step down the GT1B excitation transformer

generator (15kV) --> excitation transformer (830Vac) --> thyristor (change to DC) --> rotor

3) measure PI at the GMCB
- reading PI (polarization index) must greater than 1.5. it is better if can get greater than 2.

1) change the inverter because it has problem.

2) manually change the setting of the inverter.

Inverter (frequency drive) is use to change AC to AC. In the inverter already have rectifier.

Rectifier is use to change DC to AC.

By using inverter, energy can be saved. The speed of the motor can be change by increase/decrease the H2.
Inverter also can control the speed of motor.

Overhaul for GT1B start today. Follow the technician of control and instrumentation (CNI) to open the thermocouple at GT1B.

This plant is to generate the specified quality and quantity of demineralized water.

Join the technician to check the differential pressure gauge. The difference pressure between inlet and outlet limit until 0.2. If more than 0.2 it is not good. Have to check.
